At the invitation of Lord Mayor Gordon Bradbery, Consul General Duan Jielong recently visited the City of Wollongong.
At the welcome reception hosted by the City Council, Mr. Duan briefed the councilors and local residents on the current China-Australia relations. He stressed the bilateral cooperation will enter a new stage in which NSW, Wollongong included, has great potential in developing further cooperation with China in fields such as financial service, environment friendly farming, bio-medicine, new energy, hi-tech and education, tourism, etc. He said the Chinese Consulate General in Sydney would always be ready to assist the City of Wollongong to expand its cooperation with China.
Accompanied by Lord Mayor Bradbery, the Consul General also paid a visit to the University of Wollongong and Nan Tien Temple.
